How much does the Ecoflo sewage treatment plant cost?
Let’s say you’re in the market for a new sewage treatment plant.
Maybe you need a secondary treatment unit to follow your septic tank. Or maybe it’s a tertiary system to purify effluent from another wastewater treatment plant.
You’ve done your research and landed on the Ecoflo biofilter (some call it the Ecoflo coco filter). It ticks all your boxes. It’s compact. It needs no electricity to treat your wastewater. It’s long term. And best of all, it’s sustainable thanks to its coconut husk filter.
Looks great, you say to yourself. But how much does it cost?
Search no further! Premier Tech Water and Environment is the manufacturer of the Ecoflo biofilter, and we have the answers you need.
What does the price of an Ecoflo septic system include?
Before we break down the cost of the Ecoflo biofilter, let’s take a quick look at what’s included in the price.
First, and most importantly: the prices we share are for the Ecoflo biofilter unit only.
They do not represent the total cost of your project. Depending on your needs, your project budget may also include the purchase of a septic tank or another wastewater treatment plant, plus these related expenses:
- soil percolation tests
- system design
- materials
- installation
- labour
Cost ranges for the Ecoflo sewage treatment plant
The Ecoflo biofilter can help you meet Irish wastewater regulations in one of two ways:
- Secondary treatment: The unit receives effluent from your septic tank and cleans it to a higher standard. Models for this use are available for 5 to 50 PE (population equivalent).
- Tertiary treatment: The unit receives effluent from another wastewater treatment plant and polishes it to meet the most stringent environmental standards. Models for this use are available from 16 PE and up.
Whether you use it for secondary or tertiary treatment, the cost of the Ecoflo biofilter is the same. But one factor does affect the price: the specific model you choose.
Domestic Ecoflo models
Domestic Ecoflo models for residential properties and holiday homes are available for 5 and 6 PE. These models can be combined to serve up to 50 PE.
The price for a domestic Ecoflo unit ranges from €2,500 to €3,500.
Commercial Ecoflo models
Commercial Ecoflo models for parks, visitor centres, sports facilities, and office buildings are typically available for 5 to 200 PE.
The price for a commercial Ecoflo unit ranges from €2,500 to €20,000.
These models can be combined to serve properties well above 200 PE. To learn more about price ranges for larger-scale projects, we invite you to contact our team for a custom quote.
