Polishing Process (LET/LES)
This process is specially adapted to landfill sites. The treatment is based on the principle of aerated biofiltration using a trickling filter and may include one or two consecutive polishing steps based on the volume of the flow and quantities of leachates that must be treated. This polishing process also contributes to ensuring compliance with the most stringent discharge standards, namely with respect to ammoniacal nitrogen.
